    Hello,
We've been using Batchbook for a couple pf years now but only really for managing contact info. We are now tracking tasks/to-dos and making deals. Maybe I am looking in the wrong places, but these things are driving me nuts:

    • Where can I manage To-Do Templates? I have two with the same name and need to delete one - this should be easy but I can't find a way.
    • What is the difference between a To-Do and an Event?

If you head over to the calendar tab, you can then click on the green plus sign to add a new To-Do Template.  This will take you to a screen where you'll have the option of adding a new template, or deleting old ones.

You unfortunately can't change the name of a To-Do Template once it's created, but you can edit the names of the individual tasks and when they are due.

The difference between a To-Do and an Event is To-Dos are tasks that need to be done.  Events are items that you put on the calendar - say a meeting, or a trade show.  You can assign a To-Do to a different user on your account, and when you do that user will receive an email letting them know you sent them a To-Do.  You can attach either one to other records as well.

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you! That makes sense.

It drives us nuts that we can't edit either the To Do Template name or description, and have to delete it and create a new one. It would be very helpful to be able to edit Templates (like you can most other things in Batchbook). (Is the issue that if you edit the template, it changes existing to dos?)

Unfortunately, it would affect the existing todos.

  • +1 for renaming To-Do Templates
  • to-do templates seem to have been an afterthought

renaming, reordering, and other common sense ways to manage the to-do templates are needed

will probably still be an afterthought in the supposedly new BB
