Batch 'To Do' Importing or Creation?
  • We are about to migrate from a self-created Outlook CRM to Batchbook but rely heavily on a quarterly call schedule that is processed through our 'to do'/task lists.  I'm not seeing any way to create batch tasks or import tasks without creating each individual item in a template or as a separate 'to do' item.

Has anyone found any workarounds for importing tasks or for assigning a task template to multiple contacts at one time (without having to type each of their names into the 'attach to' box)?

I'm just not seeing functionality for maintaining contact with contacts or maintaining deals - ie no automated or batch 'followup' options.

    Any suggestions appreciated!

    Hi Dee,

Unfortunately there aren't any ways to batch update your contacts with To-Dos.  You've already discovered the way this can be done, by adding the names of the contacts to the To-Do that you want to attach to their records.

To-Dos also aren't importable.  I'm sorry we aren't able to be of more help on this one.

@NoCoHomeTeam: It is possible to batch-create To-Dos is via the API, but that requires some programming effort.

    BB team-

Any chance of adding this as feature?

Ideally, I would be able to:
    (1) select multiple people in the contacts tab
    (2) create a to-do for each of them as a batch action (attached to, not assigned)

    Hi Edwin,

I can add this as a feature request for you, but I don't believe that is something we've thought about doing (I don't want to give you false hope that it will be implemented any time soon or at all).

I would recommend checking with Kurt who posted above about this.  He is one of our Batchbook Experts and is extremely familiar with the Batchbook API, and has worked with a large number of our customers in the past.  He's not employed by Batchbook, but his development skills and knowledge of Batchbook make him one of the best people to go to for any custom integrations, or API work.
