How to sync with mailchimp for automatic integration
  • LindseyLindsey November 2011
I know how to send lists to mailchimp but I can't figure out how to set it up so that an additional contact in batchbook gets sent over automatically to my mailchimp list. Right now I'm resending the list even if I add one more contact.

    thanks

    Hi Lindsey,

There isn't an automatic push available currently, you will need to push items over via a list.

If you send over the same contact multiple times, MailChimp does ignore the duplicates so we'll only send over what isn't already there.

You can also temporarily tag records that need sending to MailChimp and then build a list on that tag. Once the records are sent over, you can delete the tag on them so it will always just contain the items that need to be imported.

More automatic MailChimp sync is currently in development!

    thanks so much,
    sb

    Lindsey,

My company set up an API integration that takes care of removing MialChimp unsubscribes from the list that needs to be pushed over to MailChimp for a customer. Our customer's list was too large to manage manually, and MailChimp had flagged their account for re-sending too many unsubscribed email addresses back into their MailChimp list.

We set up an integration that automatically removes an individual from the MailChimp List in BatchBook as soon as that individual unsubscribes at MailChimp - easy peasy.

  • Kurt,
Ever thought about making that integration available...? Even for $?

    Hi Veronica,

    I certainly have :-)

That's a significant part of what my company does - we build custom API integrations (e.g. BatchBook, MailChimp, FreshBooks, Twilio, Chargify, Formstack, Gravity Forms, etc., etc.).

Feel free to drop me a line if you'd like to discuss the options. You'll find my email address on the BatchBook Experts page.
